A growing number of consumers in South East Asia are searching for coupons and voucher codes online to save money on a wide variety of purchases, from flight and hotel bookings to deals on local restaurants. The trend follows similar trajectories found in the US and much of Europe, where billions are spent each year from a broad spectrum of store or brand led promotions. The infographic below shows how consumer-buying patterns are changing and where people are looking to save online.
According to the infographic, home and garden coupons are the most searched opposed to technology and travel coupons. Not surprisingly, female buyers use coupons more frequently than men. As for the age groups, in South East Asia the coupons are most popular among the 25-35-year-olds. As far as user devices are concerned, the majority of searches are made using a desktop compared to those using their mobile devices.
