For the past two years, virtual events have reigned supreme. But the tide is shifting as more and more in-person events appear on our calendars. As we watched in-person events tick up on the Bizzabo platform, we started wondering: What do event organizers really think about the future of in-person events?
Are attendees ready? What types of KPIs are organizers tracking? How may events are being planned?
In June and July 2022, we sent out a survey to event organizers and some of the responses surprised us.
The most fascinating finding from our survey? 70% of event organizers said their event budgets increase or stay the same from 2021 to 2022.
This is in stark contrast to what we see daily on LinkedIn and in click-bait headlines about event budgets dropping dramatically.
