Some people hate them, and some love them. Human Resources MBA has created an infographic explaining unions and the statistics and behind them, entitled “State of the Unions”. While almost 1 in 4 workers was a union member in the past, nowadays only 1 in 10 is a member of a union.

The following infographic describes the decline in union membership and covers the main events in the history of labor unions in the American history. As stated in the infographic, more public sector employees are union members opposed to these working in the private sector.

When it comes to the sex statistics, male members are slightly more than the female union members these days. As far as money is concerned, union members generate median typical weekly earning of $950 compared to $750 earned by the non-union members.
