The way we communicate has been evolving continuously from the day Graham Bell invented the telephone. Today we are looking at multitude of medium to communcation – messaging, video calls, SMS, and so on.

This infographic takes a a look at the major milestones in the growth of telecommunications. First, tin cans were used for communication. Tin can telephone is a form of mechanical telephony, where the sound is converted into and then conveyed by vibrations along a liquid or solid medium. Consequently, the first commercially successful transatlantic telegraph cable was completed on 18 July 1866. Furthermore, the telephone was invented in 1876 and changed the human communication forever.
