A recent report from the Irish Arbocultural Association(IAA) has indicated that the last fourteen years have seen huge growth in the tree services industry. Whilst there are a number of possible reasons for this, one main contender was the introduction of EU legislation that mandated regular tree surveys and inspections for property owners in 2012. This coupled with our increasingly litigious society has meant that residential and commercial property owners are being scarred into taking extreme care when auditing their natural assets.
The most common types of tree surgeon work in the last year have been related to tree and branch removal due to fear of personal injury claims and damage to property. After that it’s a mix of aesthetic work including topping, trimming and pruning.
